Full Moon Opportunities

Why is the Full Moon Important?

The Moon controls the ebb and flow of tides. Our emotions are a created reaction to events and situations we experience. The moon is part of our cycle of life where our emotions bubble to the surface to be recognized. “I surrender” is the theme of the Full Moon. The energies are conducive to releasing all self-limiting beliefs, energetic connections to the past, and worries about the future. The first concept to understand is we are in charge of our reality. We are creating emotions, feeling those emotions, and engaging with FREE WILL. Free will is the idea that we alone are the Creator of our reality. We make emotions to our experiences. Spiritually, the moon’s vibrational energies allow us to recognize our I AM identity and release.

Releasing The Past

As a light being with free will in human form, I live in a free-will environment with other individuals. We have encounters with each other in which we experience our created emotions. Sometimes, we don’t have a positive experience and form fear, anger, or other emotions. When we allow these emotions space to flow, they are processed. When we hold on to our emotions or suppress them, they get stuck in our light bodies. Numerous experiences in which we make emotions but don’t process them through the ebb and flow technique cause the emotion to become anchored into our bodies. When we choose to pay attention to something, we energetically form a link to a past, present, or future reality and spend our energy. The more links we create, the more likely the experience becomes anchored into our energy for re-experiencing.

Energetically, we hold onto past events when they are not processed. If an experience produces a pain reaction where I choose to feel hurt, ashamed, humiliated, upset, or angry, I may not like the feeling but suppress it, or I may think about it constantly. In either case, the emotion attached to the experience becomes a weight on my spirit because I am hanging on to it. I had many adverse experiences as a child that I didn’t have the mental or spiritual capacity to understand the event, though I formed an emotion to the event. These experiences can be revisited to process as adults. Many understand this ideology as stopping the circle of violence, being the black sheep, or ending the generational curse.

Ending Worry About the Future

Due to the emotions I created as a child and the experiences I encountered, I had high anxiety. I was anxious because I feared being a victim again. I did not know what I know today is that I am in control of only myself. I can’t control what happens outside of me. While trying to control everything around me, as an adult, I sought to reduce anxiety by controlling every little experience or assuming as much control over any experience as possible. I also constantly worried about what might happen to me, thus creating a vicious circle in which I spend my energy connected to the adversity of my childhood while simultaneously worrying and spending my energy on what I might encounter. The key to my freedom was understanding my role in my reality.

Surrender

Surrendering is letting go of emotions. I held onto my fear and anger, the shame and humiliation I cloaked myself in because of the traumatic experiences. I was too young to understand why I created such powerful emotions, but I knew they felt yucky. So, I held onto them for later.

Emotions are a human way of processing subjective experiences. To process an emotion, surrender to its feeling. Allow yourself to feel and let go.

I let go of the need for retribution. I let the emotion bubble to the surface so that I could feel it. I visualized a balloon and let go of the string. Another method is to write about the experience on paper until you are done. Feel the emotions while you write. If you don’t want to write down the feelings about the experience, write down the emotions.

Are you tired of this weight? Do you want to let go of this experience? Move into the surrendering meditation. Allow any emotions that surface to flow. Music is a way to process our emotions. First, the feeling comes, and then comes healing!
