We are already a few days into Leo season, from July 22nd to August 21st. Leo season is an energetic time for us as the Sun moves into its brightest time of the year for the Northern Hemisphere. Leo’s attributes for this season are fast movement(think fire), creativity, stepping up, shining our gifts, being fierce with a royal edge, and having FUN!! Find your courage to be your true self! This self can accomplish many great things when we step into our power and shine.

Last Day of 13 Moon Calendar

Today is the last day of the 13-moon Mayan calendar. Tomorrow will be the day outside of time and the day after the beginning of a new cycle. These three days are a great time to let go of anything you allow to hold you back from a life of greatness.

Endings are perfect opportunities to progress in a different direction towards a specific milestone. Growth is neverending! Honor these days and use the royal energy of firey Leo to propel you on a path where you shine authentically.

Ho’oponopono

Ho’oponopono is the Hawaiian practice of forgiveness. Forgiveness cuts the energetic bonds we created to an event in our past. Forgiveness allows us to live in the present instead of spending our energy living in the past. Forgiveness helps us refocus and enjoy the spirit of inner peace. Starting a new chapter carrying in old hurts and past regrets is undoubtedly a choice, but walking our human journey, which is attached to our adversity, adds much weight to our soul.

If we have trouble letting go of adversity, maybe we haven’t processed all the emotions we created for the event. Humans create emotions to process the subjective experience of an event. Sometimes, when we make things like fear, anger, and frustration, we don’t like feeling the emotion we created. We store it in our physical body. If we continue not to process these emotions, our body will go through the process of releasing emotions through medical events. *Not all medical events are emotions not being released. We also process experiences through our dreams, breathing, and even eliminating food. Everything was designed on Earth to help us process these experiences, but the best practice is to realize it is ok to feel. After the feeling is allowed to flow through our body, we can let go of the feeling and process our experience entirely. Often, we hang on to the feelings and the event and live in the past, reliving an endless loop.

“An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.” Someone, possibly Gandhi, said this quote. However, the quote is a powerful one to think about when processing past hurts and grievances that we encounter as humans. We always have a choice. We can hold onto our pain and continue to suffer, or we can let go. We can choose not to continue the cycle of violence by forgiving and choosing inner peace, or we can pursue the path of retribution and vengeance.
